Our advice comes from hands-on work. As an engineering team, we build and run web applications, apps and servers ourselves. Our recommendations reflect what holds up in daily use and what a small or mid-sized company can maintain and afford over the long run.
What happens next is up to you. Our consulting doesn’t come tied to a development contract: you can hire us to build it, take it on with your own team or choose another vendor. We work in English and German.

Frequently asked questions
What determines the length and cost of an engagement?
The question you bring. A technology decision can often be settled in a few sessions, while an architecture review of a large system needs more time for analysis. After the free initial consultation, we propose a clearly defined scope and send you a proposal with a fixed price for it, before any costs arise.
Aren’t you just going to sell us a project in the end?
We’re engineers, and we’re happy to build what we recommend. Still, our advice follows your needs: sometimes existing off-the-shelf software is the better answer, or no new software at all. You’re free to hand the implementation to anyone.
Can you assess a system someone else built?
Yes. We need access to the source code, any existing documentation and, ideally, someone who knows the system. If documentation is missing, we work out the essentials from the code.
How do you handle confidential information?
With strict confidentiality. We’re happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before we start, and we use access to your systems only for the agreed analysis.
Do you help with GDPR questions?
With the technical ones: where data is stored, who has access, which services transfer data outside the EU and how to change that. We don’t provide legal advice, but we give your data protection officer or law firm the technical facts they need.
Do you consult remotely and in English?
Yes to both. In the Ruhr area and Düsseldorf, though, we’re glad to come to you in person for every session and workshop, unless you’d rather meet over video; for clients farther away, we work over video calls and travel for the important meetings. We consult in English and German and write the recommendation in whichever language you prefer.
